About Bruce
Ministry of Education
Bruce worked in the office of Ontario’s Minister of Education, where he advised on communications, policy development, and issues management.
School Board Experience
Bruce served as a YRDSB student trustee, delivering student leadership policy reforms & securing new mental health funding.
Education Leadership
Bruce was Executive Director for the Federation of Canadian Secondary Students, a national Canadian education charity. He led the organization’s programming and advocacy, testifying at the Ontario Legislative Assembly on education reform legislation.
Community Involvement
Bruce is a public appointee to an Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant Review Team and sits on the boards of two Canadian charities.
His past community leadership includes serving on the Advocacy Committee for Strides Toronto and as a youth representative on the Minister’s Advisory Council for Special Education.
Educational Background
Bruce did his undergrad at Western University and is an incoming JD candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School.
He is fluently trilingual in English, French, and Mandarin. He holds the CIPP/C designation from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, a Certificate in Education Law from OsgoodePD and a Google IT Professional Certificate.
